Right now, the most intense part of the winter season is underway with optimal snow conditions at SkiStar's destinations with the best possible conditions for a memorable mountain experience. The sports holiday weeks and the period up to and including Easter are high season and many people travel to the mountains to enjoy alpine skiing. SkiStar's tips and advice for a safe and secure skiing experience provide answers to questions about which rules apply on the slopes at the mountain resorts. For children, there are also Valle's ski rules.

-For us, the safety and security of our guests is our top priority and something we want to create good conditions for. Skiers also have their own responsibility to make alpine skiing safe and secure for themselves and others. By following our advice and the industry's rules, you can also help reduce the risk of unwanted situations arising during the day on the slopes, says Niclas Sjögren Berg, Operations Director at SkiStar AB.

These rules apply on the ski slope:

1. Be considerate – show consideration for others. Behave in a way that does not risk harming others.

2. Adapt your speed and riding style to the terrain, equipment, weather and your own riding skills.

3. Choose proper equipment – wear a helmet, back protector and make sure your ski equipment is adapted to your skiing skills. Feel free to ask the staff at SkiStar's ski rental SkiStarshop for help.

4. Choose the right direction of travel – If you are coming from above, you must give way to skiers in front of you.

5. Only stop where you are visible – If you have to stop on the slope – do it where you are clearly visible and where others can overtake you.

6. Respect signs – Rules and instructions on the slopes are for your own safety and the safety of others. Follow them!

Valle's riding rules help the little ones ride safely and securely.
The foundation of Valle's ski school is not only to teach children how to ski, but also to make it safe and secure. To help them, Valle has therefore developed Valle's ski rules based on the industry rules for skiing, which are a permanent and appreciated feature of the ski school. For example, they are about informing about what to do if you fall on the slope, how to ride a lift safely and that you should usually take a friend or parent with you if you go in the forest. There is also a game with Valle developed to learn more about the ski rules.
