Now the company is investing in a new state-of-the-art gondola – the largest single lift investment in the history of both Trysil and SkiStar, which will take skiing to new heights.

”"We are very pleased to be able to realize this major project, which is part of our long-term plan to develop our destinations. The new gondola will set a new standard for the guest experience in Trysil and is an investment for the future that strengthens our competitiveness in the alpine industry," says Stefan Sjöstrand, CEO of SkiStar.

The new gondola, which will be 2,460 meters long and has an investment framework of 200 million Norwegian kroner, will be built next winter. The gondola sets the standard for continued destination development, both in the ski area and for accommodation and service facilities. In addition to improving transportation options, this investment also means a significant upgrade in snow production. With the latest technology in the field, optimal snow conditions for skiing are ensured. This will not only improve the quality of the skiing experience, but also guarantee a long ski season, to the delight of both local and visiting ski enthusiasts.

”This is a new milestone for the development of SkiStar Trysil. We have great faith in the future of tourism and look forward to taking the next step in developing Trysil as Norway's largest ski resort. The new gondola will use the latest technology in lift technology and comfort. With a capacity of 3,000 people per hour, more guests can be transported quickly and efficiently up the mountain, which greatly reduces waiting times. This means more time on skis and less time in line for our guests,” says Gudrun Sanaker Lohne, Destination Manager for SkiStar Trysil.

Trysil has always been a destination for everyone, from beginners to experienced skiers, and the gondola will make the experience even better for all guests. Whether you come to enjoy the fantastic slopes, experience the après-ski culture or be active with your family, the gondola will make your visit more accessible and convenient.
