The winter season is in full swing, many have booked their stay in the mountains and are adding a week during Easter, while mountain travelers are starting to plan their summer vacation. For the summer, SkiStar continues to invest in experiences for an active vacation for the whole family in the Scandinavian mountain environment. New for this year is that the popular attractions from Stockholm Hammarbybacken are also being introduced in Trysil and Sälen, while Vemdalen is getting its first climbing park and new trails for trail cycling.
For the summer of 2021, SkiStar made a major investment to tap into the homestay trend and the demand for an active holiday in the mountains all year round, not least in the summer. More news was introduced at SkiStar's destinations such as the development of trail cycling, lift-borne hiking, climbing parks, camps and new events. After last summer's innovation of Stockholm Hammarbybacken, the company is bringing the experience and more of the experiences to both Sälen and Trysil this year.
"We want to get more people moving and be able to offer an active and relaxing holiday all year round, so that more people can enjoy and have access to the fantastic Scandinavian mountain world even in the summer. We also see from previous years that interest is increasing in the summer to both live well, eat well and feel good on holiday. That is why we are investing heavily in holistic experiences where we offer all of this, not least through our activity hotels and lodges," says Stefan Sjöstrand, CEO of SkiStar AB.
