Skistar CEO Mats Årjes is stepping down after 17 years in the position. He will remain in office until a successor is in place, which is expected to happen this fall.

Mats Årjes has been CEO for 17 years. In a press release, he states that it is an "appropriate time" to leave.

"I also look forward to being able to focus more on the 2026 Olympic campaign in the near future and thinking about what my next exciting challenge will be," says the CEO.

Skistar chairman Eivor Andersson states that Skistar's value has increased tenfold under Mats Årje's leadership.

”"We have had an excellent collaboration, and Mats Årjes, together with the brothers Erik and Mats Paulsson, has developed SkiStar into what the company is today. At the same time, I understand that he wants to take on other interesting assignments in the future," she says in the press release.
