The Easter weather, which has been pleasant in many places, is now expected to turn into snowstorms.

The SMHI had as previously issued a yellow warning for a large area stretching from Gothenburg to Stockholm.

On Monday evening, the SMHI is raising the alert to orange across large parts of Västergötland, as well as southern Östergötland, northern Jönköping County and northern Kalmar County.

This may result in severely restricted access to roads, delays and cancellations to bus, train and air services, as well as power cuts in areas where power lines are overhead.

The orange warnings are in force today between 08 and 23.
