SMHI is expanding its snowfall warnings to several counties on Tuesday.

There is now a class 1 warning in Jämtland County except the mountains, Västernorrland, Gävleborg, Dalarna County except the valley mountains, Värmland, as well as Örebro and Västmanland, which are at risk of being hit by heavy snow storms.

Between 5 and 15 centimeters of snow is expected to fall in the northern counties. In Västmanland and Örebro, 2-5 centimeters of snow is expected, but mild temperatures mean that the snow will quickly turn into rain.

On Sunday and Monday, Norrbotten, Västerbotten and Västernorrland were hit by heavy snowfall that caused traffic problems.
