During the night, strong winds caused several traffic disruptions in the county. The storm is also affecting train traffic and some routes are canceled until tomorrow, Friday.
SMHI has issued a class 1 warning for Gothenburg, Bohuslän and Halland. This means very strong winds that can be between 21 and 24 meters per second.
During the night, the storm has caused traffic problems in Västra Götaland. The Swedish Transport Administration reports fallen trees in several places in the county. The Uddevalla Bridge is closed to heavy traffic due to the strong winds.
The storm has also led to power outages. The electricity company Ellevio tells SVT News West that over 1,500 households in Töreboda, Strömstad and Sotenäs have been affected by three different major power outages.
Train traffic is affected
From Wednesday at 9 p.m., train traffic will be suspended on the Uddevalla-Strömstad, Varberg-Borås and Håkantorp-Gårdsjö routes. The suspended trains are expected to run normally again from Friday morning, November 20.
