The company behind Solresor has gone bankrupt. This means that operations have ceased, Solresor announces on its website. Now bankruptcy trustees hope to find a buyer who wants to take over.
The Danish company Travel Co Nordic is the parent company of several tour operators, including Swedish Solresor.
Now Travel Co Nordic has gone bankrupt. A message on Solresor's website was posted on Wednesday:
”"The company behind Solresor has gone bankrupt, which means that Solresor's operations have ceased. There are currently a number of interested parties to continue Solresor under new management. You can already get your booked package trip refunded by the Travel Guarantee Fund in Denmark or wait and see what happens with a possible new ownership of Solresor."”
Peder Hornshøj, CEO of Solresor, states that another tour operator that is part of the group, Danish Bravotours, has been bought out of bankruptcy by Danish investors.
The hope now is that Solresor can also get a new owner.
– The reorganizer is working on selling Solresor. The latest I heard from the reorganizer is that there is interest from Sweden, he says.
