Fancy a trip into space? Then you're not alone.
Just over 700 people are now waiting in line to go into space with Virgin Galactic and the company says that demand is greater than they planned for.
Virgin Galactic expects to begin commercial flights by the end of next year and currently a keen traveler can shell out $450,000 for a ticket – more than double the price of what the first 600 travelers paid in the years before company founder Richard Branson's maiden flight in July.
The tickets are still cheap compared to what trips with competitors Blue Origin and SpaceX are believed to cost. Those companies have not disclosed any prices, but according to the AFP news agency, a ticket for a SpaceX trip could cost more than ten million dollars.
