Nustay, which operates a hotel booking platform and has been listed on Spotlight in Copenhagen since spring 2019, is filing for bankruptcy as a consequence of the ongoing pandemic.

This is stated in a press release that the company sent out over the weekend.

”"Nustay has today announced that as a result of the Covid-19 crisis, it will file for bankruptcy. The company has seen a very significant drop in sales volumes due to the ongoing global travel restrictions, with sales down around 5 percent of volumes in January and February," the company wrote in Sunday's press release.

The uncertainty has further led to the company being unable to secure financing for its operations, the company writes.

At the end of September, the company announced that it did not have capital to operate the business for three months.
