Stena Line's Germany routes were up ten percent during the important summer season, according to a press release.
The largest increase was in traffic to Sweden, where both favorable currency and weather attracted many Germans. The number of guests from Germany was close to 250,000 during the summer months of June-August.
According to Stena Line, passenger trains on the Trelleborg lines to Rostock and Sassnitz have also increased enormously during the summer. This is a 50 percent increase, with passengers mostly heading to the German capital Berlin.
