Swedavia about Bromma Airport, the red-green board writes in a press release.

The Social Democrats, the Left Party and the Green Party – which have a majority in the council – announced last winter that the parties intended to terminate the agreement, and in the long term want to develop a new district in the area under the name Bromma Parkstad.

The current agreement with Swedavia, which owns the airport, is valid until December 31, 2038 and must be terminated no later than three years before the end of the agreement period.

”"We now want to initiate a constructive dialogue with Swedavia and the government about bringing the closure forward," says Karin Wanngård (S), Finance City Councilor, in the press release.

Among other things, the opposition parties Moderaterna and Liberalrna have criticized a possible closure of the airport.
