A woman in her 60s managed to check into several prestigious hotels in central Stockholm over the course of a month – without paying for them. But the fraudster was caught with the fake bills and has now been sentenced to four months in prison by the Court of Appeal.

The woman had just been released when the new nightly crime tour began. In September last year, the hotel fraudster was sentenced to four months in prison for similar crimes. At that time, she had defrauded nine hotels in the city.

The 60-year-old reportedly told hotel staff on several occasions that her husband would come later to pay.
