A train has torn down a contact line near Järna in Södertälje municipality, which has led to a halt in train traffic.
”"We have sent personnel out, but we have no forecast for when the stop will be over. Some trains will take a different route," says the Swedish Transport Administration's Magnus Löfgren at 9 p.m. on Saturday.
The police state on their website that one person has suffered some form of eye injury, caused by the glare from the overhead contact line when it broke.
All train traffic between Stockholm and Katrineholm, Hallsberg, Gothenburg, Karlstad and Malmö is affected by the stop. Commuter trains between Södertälje and Gnesta are also affected by the demolished overhead contact line.
The Swedish Transport Administration urges travelers to contact their train companies for more information.
