The Vinggruppen is acquiring the Spanish hotel company AROE, which owns 12 hotels with approximately 2,000 rooms in Mallorca, Menorca and the Canary Islands. This is stated in a press release.
Several of the hotels are described as being among the most popular among Ving's guests.
Ving was recently taken over by Norwegian hotel billionaire Petter Stordalen and venture capital firm Altor, among others. The deal took place after Ving's previous parent company Thomas Cook went bankrupt.
