Norwegian entrepreneur Petter Stordalen's real estate company Strawberry Forever is selling a property for 1.5 billion kronor, the company says in a press release. The property in question includes Clarion Hotel Amaranten, which is operated by Nordic Choice Hotels, also owned by Stordalen.
The hotel will continue to be operated by the hotel company, but it is the Nordic real estate investor NREP that will own the property when the transfer takes place in August.
”"The property was not actually for sale, but it is difficult to turn down a deal if the buyer is serious, financially strong and has a clear development plan for the building. This is good for Nordic Choice Hotels, it is good for the people of Kungsholm and it will be good for the hotel's guests because the hotel will be upgraded as early as 2021," writes Petter Stordalen in the press release.
