Storm Floris is ravaging the UK. On Monday, British media reported about cancelled flights, overturned campers and thousands of households without power.
Several tourist attractions are closed and the ongoing filming of the next Spider-Man film has been put on hold.

The worst situation is in Scotland, where the authorities have issued a yellow warning covering almost the entire country. Northern England, northern Wales and Northern Ireland are also hard hit. On the islands of South Uist in northwestern Scotland, winds of almost 40 meters per second have been measured. This compares with 25 meters per second, which defines the limit for a storm.

British media are reporting live on the destruction caused by the storm. Social media shows road workers sawing down fallen trees across roads, and videos are circulating of planes struggling to land in the strong winds.
Around 22,500 are reported to be without power since 2 p.m. on Monday, writes Sky News. In Ireland, the same number is 10,000.
More than 68 flights were cancelled on Monday due to the storm, with Aberdeen and Belfast City airports particularly hard hit. Trains and buses have been cancelled, and several train operators have warned passengers not to travel north of Newcastle on Monday.
Spider-Man filming paused
