Strawberry presents two new restaurant concepts

Strawberry is now launching a new restaurant concept for the Nordic market.

To further lower the thresholds for visitors and locals to enter hotels, Strawberry is now launching two new restaurant concepts in the Nordic region. The ambition is clear: Better and tastier food and drink for hungry people in the Nordic region.

– Food and drink are extremely important when travelers choose hotels and when people in the area decide to take a hotel to their hearts. To continue delivering in this area, we are now launching two distinct restaurant concepts where the inspiration comes from the guests and their wishes but with a touch of food trends we see growing in the world. This is where sustainability and local produce come in, says Fredrik Blomberg, SVP Food & Beverage Strawberry.

The Social bar & bistro will be Strawberry's broadest concept, launching in the most destinations. The Social is a casual international bistro where simplicity and accessibility are the key words. It serves a crossover menu based on favorites from hotel bars and lounges around the world.

– The Social should be the guests' living room and an obvious meeting place to unwind after the day and recharge for the evening! Here, guests should feel at home and quickly find their favorite on the menu and in the drinks list, and just as quickly have a plate in front of them to bite into. Here you will find classics such as Toast Skagen, Caesar salad and a really good burger, says Maria Reisö, Concept & Commercial Food & Beverage Director Strawberry.

Brasserie NÒR is the second restaurant concept to be launched in full scale. NÒR has been established during the year at Quality Hotel Match in Jönköping, Clarion Hotel Umeå and Quality Hotel Grand in Borås and has been very well received by both hotel guests and locals, and this autumn three new cities can look forward to a NÒR.

– NÒR is a brasserie with a penchant for classic dishes created with Nordic ingredients but where we challenge and update with a modern touch. Here you can expect recognition with a twist! These are full-scale restaurants in cozy environments where you as a guest can look into the open kitchen and see the dishes being prepared, and you can check out what could become your new favorite wine from the restaurant's wine wall, says Maria Reisö.

Brasserie NÒR focuses on well-selected European wines with a focus on France, Italy, Germany and Spain. At NÒR, they want to celebrate some of the world's best cocktails.

– The very best hotel bars are rich in history and have invented many of the world's most popular cocktails. Although the true origin of each drink is often mythical and unclear, many hotels have laid claim to a cocktail with a story to it. At NÒR, we want to elevate these classics that are created in a particular hotel bar – but we mix them with advantage with Nordic ingredients, says Angelica Wallberg, Director of Restaurants & Bars Strawberry.

The Social began opening during the summer and will continue into the fall. Brasserie NÒR will be established in the fall of 2023.
