Security staff at London Heathrow Airport are warning of 31 days of strike action this summer, starting on June 24, the union Unite writes in a press release.

Two terminals – Terminal 3 and Terminal 5 – will be affected by the strikes, which will take place ”almost every weekend” until the end of August. Terminal 5 is home to British Airways, while Terminal 3 is home to Virgin Atlantic, Emirates, Qatar, United Airlines, American Airlines and Delta Airlines.

In total, over 2,000 members of Unite are being taken out in the strikes.

A spokesperson for Heathrow Airport says that the company will do everything possible to minimize the effects of the strike and that talks with the other party are ongoing.
