Eleven unions representing Air France staff voted on Thursday to call a strike on Friday, March 23.

This is reported by AFP. The pilots have been involved in a long dispute with the French aviation giant over pay levels. However, today's strike threat also concerns cabin and ground staff. The unions are demanding a 6 percent pay increase, while the employer only wants to raise wages by 1 percent and introduce an incentive program.

Air France staff went on strike on February 22, which led to the cancellation of half of the airline's long-haul flights from Paris.
