Drivers for the taxi app services Uber and Ola are threatening an indefinite strike in several of India's major cities.
The background is that the companies have not issued the loan guarantees needed to cover the drivers' costs, writes The Economic Times of India.
The drivers are reportedly making losses after investing large sums and are now unable to earn even half of the monthly return they had expected.
If a deal is not reached, the strike is expected to begin at midnight on Sunday. It will include Mumbai, New Delhi and Bangalore, among others.
