Københavns Lufthavne, which owns Kastrup Airport in Copenhagen, reports increased turnover and a sharp improvement in earnings in the third quarter of 2024 compared to the corresponding quarter last year.
Net sales rose 26.1 percent to DKK 1,470 million (1,166).
The EBITDA result was DKK 874 million (623), with an EBITDA margin of 59.5 percent (53.4).
Operating profit was DKK 631 million (373), with an operating margin of 42.9 percent (32.0).
Profit before tax was DKK 564 million (300).
The profit after tax was DKK 439 million (234), an increase of 87.6 percent compared to the previous year.
The company reiterates its forecasts for the full year 2024, which were provided on September 3.
Revenue is expected to grow by around 24 percent for 2024, mainly driven by an increase in passenger numbers. The company expects around 29.8 million passengers for 2024.
Given that the company reaches its passenger number target, pre-tax profit for 2024 is expected to be in the range of DKK 1.25 to 1.40 billion.
This year's investments are expected to amount to around 1.4 billion Danish kroner, of which approximately half of the investments will take place in Terminal 3.
The company will not pay a dividend for 2024 due to restrictions related to financing agreements.
