Autumn has now hit large parts of Sweden, but it will temporarily retreat this weekend.
Then warm weather is expected again.
– Another rain area will pass first and then a high pressure ridge will come, says Mikael Sjöstrand, meteorologist at Klart.
Rain and sleet with strong northern winds are currently prevailing in Sweden and many have recently had to get out their autumn and winter jackets.
But this weekend, to the great joy of many, autumn will take a little break.
– This week, until Thursday, the northerly winds and chilly weather will continue with rain showers in the south and more persistent rain in the north, says Mikael Sjöstrand, meteorologist at Klart.
Just over 20 degrees
On Thursday, a final rain area will pass eastward and then it will become warmer.
– Behind the rain area lies a ridge of high pressure and by the weekend it could be up to 20 degrees, locally even just over 20 degrees.
In northern Sweden, the cold will continue until Sunday. Then it will be warm there too.
– At least up to central Norrland, says Mikael Sjöstrand.
Short-term heat
And it's important to take advantage of the warm weekend weather. It won't last very long. As early as Monday next week, it will be pushed away by colder air.
So you don't feel quite ready for this year's grilling season?
Then it's time to take advantage of the weekend.
