Susanne Helleberg, who takes up the role, started her career at Scandic in 2008 and has since managed five of the company's hotels in Stockholm.

With its 391 hotel rooms, large meeting capacity and strategic location close to Stockholm Central Station, Scandic Grand Central and the historic Vasateatern are located. The hotel, which has hosted several world stars and major events, welcomed Susanne Helleberg as the new hotel director in November. Susanne has worked centrally at Scandic with commercial development and staffing. She has also been hotel director at five of the company's hotels in Stockholm, including Upplandsgatan, which is today Scandic's first hotel under the new brand, Scandic Go.

– I am extremely happy to take on the role of hotel director at one of Stockholm's coolest hotels. The consistent music theme in the interior, the central location and the appealing restaurant selection are something truly special. I am really looking forward to creating memorable guest experiences together with my employees, says Susanne Helleberg.

In addition to Susanne Helleberg's experience of the Swedish hotel market, she was also involved in the opening of Scandic's hotel on Potsdamer platz in Berlin, where her primary assignment was to recruit the management team, together with Scandic's European Head.

– With solid experience in running businesses and creating effective teams, I am convinced that Susanne is the right person for the job. Her passion for the industry and warm leadership style are a great asset to Scandic Grand Central and I look forward to seeing what heights she, together with her team of employees, will take the hotel to in the future, says Joakim Elveroth, District Director at Scandic Hotels.

– Now we are full speed ahead towards a busy winter and it will be wonderful to get to know my new colleagues and, together with them, continue to develop our hotel with a strong focus on guest satisfaction, commercial development and satisfied employees, says Susanne Helleberg.

Susanne Helleberg took up the role of Hotel Director at Scandic Grand Central on November 1.
