At Stockholm Arlanda Airport, a full-service hotel is planned that will consist of 540 double rooms, a conference center and a wide range of bars and restaurants spread over an area of 39,000 square meters.

Kiruna Airport is also getting a facelift as Swedavia is planning a new hotel directly adjacent to the terminal at Sweden's northernmost airport. The hotel will contain 180 hotel rooms in two different room types, a restaurant and bar environment on the hotel's entrance floor where both overnight guests and external guests can meet, and a lobby with a work lounge where those who want a secluded work environment can settle down.

– Airports are important hubs and excellent locations for hotels. They will be located right next to the terminals and the location combined with high-quality architecture and finishes make them very attractive hotels. We believe they will be met with great interest from the operator market, says Swedavia Real Estate CEO Stefan Stenberg.

Swedavia is now inviting operators to submit bids for the opportunity to operate the hotels. A possible start of construction is 2025 at the earliest.

According to the press release.
