State-owned Swedavia, which owns and operates the country's airports, should be tasked with working to reduce air travel.
Air travel advertising should also contain information about climate impact, writes Green Party spokesperson and Climate Minister Isabella Lövin on Dagens Nyheter's debate page.
Of course we should continue to travel, believes Isabella Lövin, who, however, believes that it is best to use other modes of transport in the future. The emissions from our air travel risk "becoming greater than Sweden's total emissions as early as 2040".
The proposal for Swedavia's future mission is similar to Lövin's at Systembolaget, which both sells alcohol and provides information about its harmful effects at the same time.
