During February, just over 2.2 million passengers travelled via Swedavia's ten airports. In total, travel increased by seven percent compared to February 2025. Demand continued to strengthen both internationally and domestically. International travel increased by six percent, while domestic travel increased by nine percent.
Improved accessibility and continued demand for air travel are generally having a positive impact on the month. Unrest in the international community may affect traffic developments going forward, although it is too early to say to what extent.
Stockholm Arlanda Airport, Sweden's largest airport, had a total of just over 1.6 million passengers in February. This is an increase of seven percent compared to February last year. International travel increased by seven percent to nearly 1.3 million passengers and domestic travel increased by eight percent to just over 330,000 passengers.
Gothenburg Landvetter Airport had a total of 334,000 passengers in February. This represents an increase of two percent compared to last year's travel in the same month. International travel increased by two percent to just under 300,000 passengers, while domestic travel increased by two percent to just over 35,000 passengers.
Swedavia's other eight airports showed positive development with local differences during February. Visby Airport followed by Umeå Airport increased the most of the regional airports, 24 and 16 percent respectively in February compared to the same month last year. Both Kiruna Airport and Luleå Airport exceeded pre-pandemic levels, with an increase of two percent for each airport. Luleå Airport also has a passenger record for a single month of February.
Bromma Stockholm Airport had a total of just over 4,000 travelers in February, which corresponds to just over two percent of pre-pandemic levels in 2019.
