The recovery in air travel continues and with nearly 3.2 million passengers, June is the month with the highest number of passengers since the start of the pandemic. The trend of strong demand for international travel continues, especially at Stockholm Arlanda. During the month, there is also an increase in domestic travel, with travel at Visby Airport being boosted by Almedalen Week. Luleå Airport is still the Swedavia airport in the best position in June compared to before the pandemic. Airline investments at Swedavia's airports continue during the month. News includes Arlanda-Ibiza with SAS and Landvetter-Barcelona with Norwegian.

-We are now in the middle of the travel-intensive summer season and the high demand for air travel is continuing. The development is still driven by increased travel to destinations within Europe related to both holidays and visits to family and friends, but domestic travel is also developing somewhat more positively overall in June. Overall, we welcomed over three million travelers for the second month in a row and June was the single strongest travel month in terms of the number of travelers since the start of the pandemic, says Jonas Abrahamsson, Swedavia's President and CEO.

Swedavia's ten airports offer nearly 300 destinations during the summer and at Arlanda, the range of destinations is now largely back to before the pandemic. June's airline initiatives include Arlanda-Tunis with Nouvelair Tunisie, Arlanda-Ibiza with SAS and Landvetter-Bastia with Transavia France as well as Landvetter-Barcelona with Norwegian. The summer traffic program is characterized by strengthened accessibility to both Europe and the USA.
