In March, close to 2.6 million travellers passed through Swedavia's ten airports. In total, air travel increased by just over five per cent compared to March 2025. Demand continued to strengthen both for international and domestic travel. International travel increased by five per cent, while domestic travel increased by six per cent.

The positive development in March was driven by continued demand for both international and domestic travel. Although developments varied locally between airports, almost all airports – with the exception of Kiruna – showed an increase. International traffic was affected to some extent by the situation in the Middle East. However, overall development remained positive.

Stockholm Arlanda Airport, Sweden's largest airport, had just under 1.9 million travellers in March. This was an increase of five per cent compared to March last year. International travel increased by five per cent to just over 1.5 million travellers, and domestic travel increased by four per cent to close to 378,000 travellers.

Gothenburg Landvetter Airport had just over 384,000 travellers in March. This was an increase of four per cent compared to last year's passenger numbers for the same month. International travel increased by almost five per cent to just over 341,000 travellers, while domestic travel remained unchanged at almost 43,000 travellers.

Swedavia's other eight airports showed positive developments with local variations during March. Visby Airport, followed by Åre Östersund, increased the most among the regional airports, by 28% and 16% respectively in March compared to the same month last year.

Bromma Stockholm Airport had just over 5,500 travellers in March, which corresponded to just under three percent of pre-pandemic 2019 levels.
