From Jokkmokk in the north to Falsterbo in the south - ahead of summer 2025, Svensk Camping presents a list of 73 campsites that have received four or five stars.
Every year, Svensk Camping produces a classification of Swedish campsites. The classification (which is voluntary) aims to provide clear information about the facility's range and standard and to make it easier for guests to choose accommodation.
This year, 14 facilities received the highest rating – five stars. In addition, 59 campsites received four stars.
”"Reaching four or five stars requires long-term and purposeful work. Five stars means that both the service offering and the facility's standard are absolutely top-notch," says Martin Juhos, CEO of Svensk Camping.
In connection with this year's classification, Svensk Camping has also conducted a regional analysis that shows that there are several regions that stand out a little bit when it comes to offering top-class campsites.
In the attached list, it is clear that one region that stands out is Västra Götaland and especially Bohuslän, which has several four- and five-star campsites. Småland, Skåne, Värmland and Halland also stand out with an extra high level.
”"Guests' demands are increasing, both for service and convenience, but also for clear information. Many want to be able to plan and find the right holiday accommodation - therefore our classification is an important tool that helps guests choose the type of facility that suits them," says Martin Juhos.
All member companies in Svensk Camping are certified but can also choose to be classified according to the Svensk Camping Standard – an industry-wide set of regulations. A campsite that, in addition to certification, is also classified provides guests with information about the facility's offerings and standards, with a focus on service buildings, the area, facilities and activities. The system makes it easier for guests to compare standards and offerings at different campsites. It is also an important tool for the industry's common development.
