Finland will once again allow all Swedes to enter the country, reports Helsingin Sanomat. Swedes have previously been allowed to enter if, for example, they own property in the country, or if they live in certain specified border areas.
Until now, Finland has had very strict rules and has not allowed travelers from countries with more than 8 new reported corona cases in the past two weeks. This limit will now be raised to 25 new cases – which means that travelers from, for example, Sweden, Norway and Germany will be allowed to enter.
”"I am very happy that normal interaction with Sweden can begin," says Minister of Transport and Communications Timo Haraka to Helingin Sanomat.
More details are expected during a press conference on Friday morning.
