According to Vagabond's annual travel barometer, travel abroad fell by between 80 and 90 percent last year. Per J Andersson, editor of Vagabond magazine, describes the decrease as something extraordinary.
– Not since World War II has travel decreased so much in one year.

But now the desire to travel is starting to return among Swedes. According to several travel agencies, recent announcements about, among other things, vaccine passports have led to a significant increase in travel bookings for the summer. 

– This summer, travel will increase compared to how it was in 2020. But we will not be back to the same levels as before the pandemic, says Per J Andersson.
