Swedish charter flight to Greece stopped

Remove

A few days after Tui's first charter flight to Rhodes, Greece, took off, the next departure is now stopped, reports Aftonbladet. The plane was supposed to take off on Thursday, but Greek authorities have revoked the permit.

”"The reason is, among other things, the uproar that surrounded the first flight in the Swedish and Greek media," says Adam Györki, press manager at Tui.

The travel company will fly an empty plane to bring back the Swedish tourists who are currently on Rhodes. Anyone who bought a ticket for the departure on Thursday will have the choice between getting a refund or traveling at a later date.
