State-owned Swedavia and the Swedish Civil Aviation Administration should leave the industry organization Swedish Aviation, believes Environment Minister Karolina Skog (MP) according to Dagens Nyheter.

”"I cannot accept that the state is involved in financing an organization that has the same attitude towards the climate issue as Donald Trump," she tells the newspaper.

Her statement has its roots in an interview on the website flygkanalen.se in which Svenskt Flyg's Secretary General Henrik Littorin likens research reports used by the government to "alternative facts" and "make-believe." According to Littorin, the researchers' agenda is to work towards increased willingness to pay for aviation taxes.
