All flights to and from Switzerland were stopped for safety reasons due to a computer problem in the air traffic control system on Wednesday morning.
Traffic was able to resume after a couple of hours.
”"The closure of the airspace was lifted at 8:30 a.m.," tweeted Skyguide, which is responsible for air traffic control.
There is no information about what type of computer problem caused the stoppage.
”"Skyguide regrets the incident and the consequences it has for customers, partners and also passengers at the airports in Geneva and Zurich," the company tweeted this morning.
