It is now clear that Sylvia Nylin will be the new CEO of Destination Kalmar.

– We are very pleased and happy that we can bring Sylvia on board. She will contribute with great knowledge and energy that is needed to bring Destination Kalmar into the future, says Lasse Johansson, chairman of Destination Kalmar AB.

– Destination Kalmar has the potential to develop and Sylvia has a major role in the process of achieving that, says Lisa Jalmander, Vice President, Destination Kalmar AB.

– With this recruitment, we gain a new CEO with broad experience in management and development work from many different sectors in society. Sylvia's expertise in communication and working to establish and develop relationships with partners and other stakeholders will strengthen the company's continued development, says Ulrick Hultman, CEO of Kalmar Kommunbolag AB.

Sylvia Nylin has previously worked as CEO of Svenska Möten and deputy secretary general at the Swedish Tourist Association. She will start her employment at Destination Kalmar in September.

– Kalmar is a fantastic municipality with great potential and I look forward to contributing my experiences to Kalmar's continued development and of course also finding my own little favorite spots in the region, says Sylvia Nylin. 

– From my years in the hospitality industry, I take with me lessons about how important it is to collaborate between all local actors and stakeholders to achieve success. I believe that this knowledge, combined with my great interest and knowledge in communication, sustainability and digitalization, will be a good combination for the assignment, continues Sylvia Nylin.
