Flixtrain is pausing all train traffic in Sweden. The reason is increased demand in Germany, the company states on its website.
”"Against the backdrop of the sharply increased demand for affordable and sustainable train travel in Germany, Flix Group is relocating all trains in Sweden," the company writes.
The trains that previously operated on the Stockholm–Gothenburg line will thus be moved to Germany.
Instead, Flixtrain intends to invest more in bus traffic in Sweden.
”"Specific details about the expanded bus operations will be announced at a later date, but it is an increase of 25 percent," the company writes.
Affected train passengers will receive refunds for already booked trips.
Flixtrain departures have been canceled during the spring-winter period due to, among other things, problems with de-icing and other maintenance.
