Tallink Grupp is now opening the doors to Hotel Riga again, after two and a half years of suspended operations caused by travel restrictions in Latvia and most of the Baltic Sea region due to the Covid-19 pandemic and its aftereffects on the entire hospitality industry.
– We are so happy to finally be able to reopen our hotel in the heart of beautiful Riga ahead of the high season, where the major sights and attractions are just a stone's throw from our hotel. During the time that the business has been down, we have taken the opportunity to update the hotel concepts and our services, and we are now ready to open the doors and welcome our long-awaited guests again, says Ave Svarts, Board Member of Tallink Hotels.
Tallink Grupp temporarily suspended operations at Tallink Hotel Riga, located in the center of the Latvian capital, on October 18, 2020. This was due to a sharp decrease in the number of guests and bookings as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Tallink Hotels currently operates four hotels in the Baltics – three in Tallinn, Estonia: Tallink Spa & Conference Hotel, Tallink Express Hotel and Tallink City Hotel, as well as Tallink Hotel Riga in the Latvian capital.
