On Monday morning, an Öresund train ran a red light, now the driver is being removed from service, reports Halland News.
South of Varberg, the train had stopped to wait for two oncoming trains. When the first had passed, the driver of the Öresund train tried to continue. Then the automatic braking system intervened and the Öresund train did not come more than ten meters past the stop signal.
The incident did not pose any risk of an accident as it occurred on a double-track track. However, it did lead to delays for the train in question.
The train driver was taken out of service to undergo an alcohol test, among other things, but will probably be back on duty by the end of the week, according to Hallands Nyheter.
