300 taxi drivers in Gothenburg are protesting against their working environment at Landvetter.
They do not have access to clean toilets and have nowhere to heat their food.
Outside Landvetter there is a parking lot, called the taxi depot, for taxi drivers.
“There is nothing there for taxi drivers. There are three toilets that are not cleaned, they have nowhere to heat their food or anywhere to sit and eat,” says Abbas Bajelvand, chairman of the Transport Workers' Union, describing the situation.
He has collected signatures from 300 taxi drivers protesting the situation. He will submit the list to Swedavia, which operates the airport.
Swedavia's press manager Hans Uhrus tells P4 Gothenburg that they have no employer responsibility, but that they are open to dialogue with the taxi companies. They also say that there used to be a location, but that it was removed three years ago because it was mismanaged.
