| Starting May 1, 2025, Thailand will introduce a new digital arrival card, the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC), replacing the current paper-based form for foreign nationals. All international travelers – whether arriving by air, boat or land – will be required to submit their arrival details electronically before entering Thailand. The new Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) is part of the Thai government’s digital transformation of immigration processes and is administered by the Immigration Bureau of Thailand. TDAC aims to simplify border controls, reduce paperwork and increase convenience for travelers. Important details about TDAC: • Submission timeframe: Travelers can start filling out the TDAC form up to three days before arrival. For example, a traveler with an arrival date of May 5 can fill out the form starting May 2. The system will open on April 28 for launch. • Mandatory for everyone: All foreign passport holders, including tourists, business travelers and long-term residents, must submit their information through the system, regardless of their mode of travel. Exceptions apply only to transit travelers and people with border passports. • Information requirements: The form requires passport details, personal information, travel information, information about residence in Thailand, and a simple health declaration. • Individually or as a group: Travelers can complete the form individually or as part of a group via the TDAC portal. Details can be updated at any time prior to departure. • For permanent residence: Foreign nationals with permanent or long-term residence in Thailand are encouraged to select ”Thailand” as the ”Country of Residence” when this option becomes available after the system is activated. • Help when needed: Travelers who were unable to complete the TDAC prior to arrival, or who do not have internet access upon entry, will be able to receive assistance at designated assistance stations at immigration control. However, it is strongly recommended that the form be completed in advance to avoid delays and reduce queues at the border crossing.
