Thai Airways canceled the flight • Delays refunds

After Sweden lifted its restrictions last week, bookings for foreign trips have skyrocketed.

But many are still waiting for refunds for trips that were canceled during the pandemic, and one airline in particular is delaying its refunds.

Marie and Niclas from Sorunda, outside Stockholm, were looking forward to a holiday to Thailand for Christmas 2020. But the pandemic got in the way and Thai Airways cancelled their flight in October of that year. The couple therefore requested a refund for their cancelled trip.

– It's my husband's and my own money that we've been lending for a year and a half. For us, 22,500 kronor is a lot of money, says Marie Ståhl Fransson.
