Aviation giant plunges on the stock market after Dutch deal

Air France-KLM shares plunged 9 percent on Wednesday, following news that the Dutch government had increased its ownership in the airline group.

Late Tuesday, the Dutch government announced that the state had increased its ownership to 12.7 percent of the shares in Air France-KLM and plans to increase its stake further, aiming to match the influence of the French state.
