The Omicron variant is weighing on airlines in Europe. On Monday, SAS, among others, fell over 4 percent.
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson warned this weekend that "a tidal wave of omicron is coming" at the same time as more and more countries are introducing restrictions.
British Airways' parent company IAG is down 3.1 percent, while Lufthansa is trading down 1.8 percent in Germany.
Among SAS's Nordic colleagues, Finnair loses 1.2 percent while Norwegian falls just over 2.6 percent.
SAS, which rose 3.2 percent on Friday, fell 4.2 percent on Monday and has been down nearly 33 percent since the turn of the year.
However, the airlines SAS and Norwegian believe that the coronavirus has not affected the desire to travel before Christmas.
