The Swedish Consumer Agency is closing the regulatory case against the airline SAS, according to a press release. The company itself states that 99.92 percent of travelers affected by canceled flights have now received their money back and the Swedish Consumer Agency has noted that the number of reports against the company is decreasing, the press release states.
However, the fine imposed on SAS will remain in effect until the end of the year, and the Swedish Consumer Agency points out that they will continue to monitor how the company handles refunds. Travelers are entitled to a refund within seven days of a trip being canceled.
”"If the repayment rate deteriorates, there is no obstacle to opening a new case against SAS," says Maja Lindstrand, lawyer at the Swedish Consumer Agency, in a comment.
