The Swedish krona hit a new record low on Monday morning. The new price was temporarily set at 11.96 kronor to one euro, reports DI.

By 10 a.m., the krona had recovered slightly to a rate of 11.93 kronor against the euro. One dollar costs 10.97 kronor.

Weak stock markets and foreign investors' views on the Swedish real estate market are pointed out as two factors behind the krona collapse. 

Now analysts expect the price to soon exceed 12 kronor.
