The Swedish Armed Forces point out that Sweden's archipelagos attract thousands of visitors every year. But there are also many protected objects there, and if you don't think carefully, you could end up with a hefty fine or even prison, the authority warns.

The objects are located both on the mainland and in the archipelago. Public access is limited or completely prohibited, and photography is usually prohibited. Certain areas in the water may also be protected objects, and are then marked with yellow buoys.

In the archipelago, there are mainly three types of protected objects: with access prohibited, with access prohibited during dangerous activities, and objects with anchoring, diving and fishing prohibited, the Swedish Armed Forces remind us in a press release.

The objects are regularly patrolled by combat boats and security guards.

With the right actions, "the chances increase that your stay, vacation and summer at sea will be as relaxed and enjoyable as you planned," the authority writes.
