The Dock opens in Södertälje

Rooted in the historic heart of Södertälje, The Dock Urban Hotel & Spa will be a new hub for experiences, culture and relaxed luxury with influences from international cities. With 14 floors, 183 designer rooms, a 1,400 square meter city spa, restaurant, sky bar, conference floor and fitness studio, The Dock is a destination in itself.

In November 2025, a brand new hotel destination will anchor in Södertälje – The Dock Urban Hotel & Spa. Inspired by Södertälje’s historic harbor and the lively trade of the canal, The Dock celebrates the city’s rich heritage while inviting relaxation, inspiring meetings and social moments. Located at Marenplan and the new marina in the heart of the picturesque city center, the hotel will have one of Södertälje’s most attractive locations, where city life meets a waterfront environment.

A getaway awaits at The Dock where panoramic views, active relaxation and a lavish spa experience meet in perfect balance. Jackies, the hotel’s all-day dining restaurant, serves flavours inspired by the culinary capitals of the world, from breakfast until late at night. Then the experience continues high up in Birds Eye, the cocktail bar with 360-degree views and signature drinks that reflect both the view and the atmosphere.

–  At The Dock, guests want to stay – for real. It is a destination where experiences, flavors, city life and business merge in a vibrant and inspiring environment. We love meetings, both planned and spontaneous. Here, sea breeze and soul, business ideas and after-parties meet, where the weekend feeling lingers, regardless of the day of the week, says Anders Junger CEO, Winn Hotel Group.

The Dock carries a confident identity rooted in mid-century modern, where timeless shapes meet contemporary expressions in unexpectedly beautiful combinations. In the heart of the hotel, the lobby, you are met by an international pulse. Here, an environment is created that both arouses curiosity and feels natural. Playful patterns meet safe shapes, and bold pops of color bring the room to life. Stripes, squares and confetti-strewn surfaces move in choreographed harmony.

With 183 rooms, including three suites, The Dock offers a versatile stay, from modern and smart work spaces for business travelers to elegant designer suites. The rooms are characterized by a thoughtful aesthetic where bold colors, retro-inspired details and modern functionality meet. A neutral color palette and light echo surfaces create a calm, Nordic expression with an international sense of elegance. With features such as 3D-printed bedside tables and stylish green divans, an inviting place to settle down with your computer on your lap.

–  The Dock is a place where you can work with panoramic views of the water, toast with friends during the golden hour, take a midweek swim, and fall asleep in a recliner instead of in front of a screen. We don't believe in separating work from lifestyle – we believe in enhancing both., continues Anders Junger.

The Dock Back Stage – Flexible event and meeting environments
The Dock Back Stage launches innovative meeting concepts with conference and event environments beyond the ordinary. Here, meetings are transformed into experiences, parties into memories and conferences into something far more than just an agenda. With venues that spark ideas and energy rather than drain them, The Dock offers flexible spaces for everything from grand galas to creative workshops. The banquet hall can accommodate up to 186 seated guests and becomes an obvious stage for celebrations, as well as an event room with 30 seats that brings to mind an intimate cinema, an inspiring environment for launches and presentations. With space for up to 200 people in the largest room, and several smaller rooms for more focused sessions, The Dock is the meeting place for the business traveler who wants to think bigger.

For the food and drink enthusiast
Jackie's is the hotel's all-day dining restaurant, inspired by classic New York taverns where modern bistro meets the pulse of the big city. In a sophisticated setting with lakeside lights, pink tones and pale green marble, the menu reflects the urban dynamism, all in a contemporary interpretation of a summer veranda.

Birds Eye, the sky bar at the top of the hotel, offers 360-degree views of the city and the water. With an open fireplace, dark silhouettes and soft sofas, an atmosphere of intimacy and grandeur is created, perfect for an evening of carefully selected cocktails.

The Dock Spa – An unbeatable waterfront oasis
The Dock Spa opens in June 2026 and offers an oasis of style, tranquility and raw elegance of 1,400 square meters. On the lower level, saunas and pools await, while the upper level offers an outdoor pool, lush terrace and expansive views. Here, tailored treatments and social experiences are combined with an environment where luxury and playfulness go hand in hand, from boules courts to lush gardens. The Dock Gym opens in conjunction with the spa and complements the experience with 120 square meters of oceanfront training, state-of-the-art equipment and inspiring energy.

With its unique location, where Södertälje's historic charm meets the energy of the future, it aims The Dock on putting Södertälje on the international hotel map. The Dock Urban Hotel & Spa opens in November 2025.

The investment is being led by the hotel group Winn Hotel Group in collaboration with Stadsrum Fastigheter. The Dock is part of Nordic Hotels & Resorts – a collection of unique hotels and brands within Strawberry.
