The finalists for the Värmland Tourism Award 2021 have been selected. The jury, consisting of the Visit Värmland board, has agreed and the award will be presented on December 2 during the Värmland and Karlstad Tourism Industry Days..

With the Värmland Tourism Award, Visit Värmland recognizes a company or organization that has significantly contributed to strengthening Värmland's tourism industry.

Now the jury has selected three finalists who have the chance to win the Värmland Tourism Award 2021. Everyone has had the opportunity to vote for which tourism company will go to the final via Visit Värmland's social media, where the jury then selected three strong candidates who were assessed according to four different criteria. The company or business must contribute to a new and innovative development of the tourism industry, the company develops a sustainable business and spreads knowledge, and the company has managed to turn the negative consequences of the Corona pandemic into something that has developed the business forward.

The three finalists are the Old Power Station in Deje, Happie Camp and Kungskvarnen in Borgvik, all of whom have met the assessment criteria and demonstrated innovative strength and positive development despite a difficult time with the current pandemic. The finalists are presented on Visit Värmland's social channels with a voting process, where everyone can participate in choosing this year's winner of Värmland's Tourism Award 2021.

In mid-September, the winner will be announced and will also be Värmland's candidate for the 2021 Great Tourism Prize, which is appointed by the Foundation for the Promotion of Knowledge in Tourism. The prize for the winner of the 2021 Värmland Tourism Prize will be, in addition to a diploma, a check for 10,000 SEK, which will be used for training or something else of value that the winner considers helpful in developing their business.
