After a few weeks of diverted flights to Oslo, the first flight from London was finally able to land at Scandinavian Mountains Airport today.

This is after the airport is now allowed to function as a border crossing point for departures and arrivals of flights outside Schengen.

– We finally got to receive and welcome the first passengers from London. It feels great that we are now up and running and can seriously start working to get more English people to land in the middle of Scandinavia's largest ski area, says Gunnar Lenman, CEO at Scandinavian Mountains Airport.

• The airlines BRA and SAS operate at Scandinavian Mountains Airport.
• The airlines fly from 8 destinations; BRA flies from Stockholm Bromma, Malmö, Ängelholm, Gothenburg and Växjö. SAS flies from London, Copenhagen and Aalborg.
• In total, the airport handles 12 flights per week in winter 2020.
